Resisting the blues

I chose a palette of pinks, reds and yellows as a joyful antidote to my feelings about the current state of the world. Yet as the work developed, the blues kept creeping in, disrupting the joyfulness.

Cotton fabrics, wool batting, cotton quilting threads. Machine pieced, machine quilted.

This work is part of the "Wide Horizons X" , juried exhibition with SAQAs Europe and Middle East region.
