This work explores the intersection of heritage and the future by merging traditional Dayak basketry patterns with contemporary patchwork techniques. By bridging Indonesian material culture with modern craft practices, the piece envisions a dialogue where ancestral motifs act as a foundation for new, global artistic expressions.

Machine-pieced patchwork using various cotton fabrics, machine-quilted on a domestic sewing machine with variegated cotton threads.

Exhibited with the "Avant Garde!" juried exhibition organized  by Carrefour European Patchwork and Textile Art in 2025/26.
